Very poor, our whole experience was spoilt by dirty glasses and cutlery, the table surface was sticky, everything appears to need a deep and thorough clean to also include the toilets. The beef was expensive but sadly tough in texture.
Really nice place, very quiet, a bit expensive, but nice for a special occasion.
Great food in an interesting location. Slightly off the beaten track so they probably don't get as much business as they would in the city centre. But well worth the trip.
Stayed last night. Checked in by very young girl and shown to our room which was very nice. We checked about getting food and the response was a shrug of the shoulders She seemed indifferent. So we went into Gloucester for food. We came down for breakfast which was ordered the night before. There were two young girls manning the show. We didnt meet the proprietor at all. Breakfast was slow but nice. Another diner got breakfast but was left waiting on butter and sauce. He got up and left in annoyance. Servings were skimpy and we had to wait on toast. It was a very impersonal experience. The proprietor needs to train up his staff properly and professionally. A very nice place but please pay more attention to the guests. They are giving you your living !
The girl behind the bar constantly played with her hair at one p6she was so bored the actually plaited it! Very unhygenic indeed as she also served out the food. Food quite nice but a smaller size of fish pie might be more helpful.
