Ugh, I've stayed in better hostels than this and for half the price! The room was tiny with no microwave or mini fridge or anything and nothing offered by reception either. When I entered my room the lights wouldn't turn on. I had to go back down three flights of stairs to ask reception about it; they said there was a switch behind the bed that I had to flip to make them work. Why was I not told this during check in and why wasn't it turned on to begin with?!There are only two plugs in the entire room (none in the bathroom, one in the corner behind the door and one at the desk) and no bin except a tiny one in the bathroom. The staff wasn't exceptionally friendly either. They seemed annoyed by my mere request for some hot water from their kettle (which was already hot and full of water). For 40 I expected a lot better. 2 stars only because there was a comfy bed and my room was clean. Would not stay here again.

Very good nice clean hotel. Will definitely be going back

I have traveled in mant different countries but I have rarely received such genuine and friendly service from staff! I had some problems with my reservation but Kia, Rosie and George were all extremely helpful and understanding. The room was exceptionally clean and the bed is comfortable. I will definitely recommend this hotel to everyone. Thank you!

Awful place! Hardly any lights in room working, bed awful, 1 flat pillow each and no spares when asked, didn't dare shower as didn't want to catch anything :( water in sink took along time to drain away.. staff unfriendly.. only good point was it's location although no parking without a walk.. right in centre of the town so had lots of people screaming and shouting on a Friday night after being out..lots of undesirables hanging around in streets outside... on the plus side kettle in room worked but only a small amount of tea, coffee was left and hardly any milk..

This is an excellent place to stay if you are travelling on a budget or just looking to save money, at its price you cannot fault it at all. The recently refurb'd rooms around the courtyard are really nicely appointed, with a fridge, microwave, kettle, hairdryer, crockery and cutlery. Given it's central location, it is surprisingly quiet in a courtyard room allowing you to have a really good nights sleep. All the staff were friendly, helpful and available 24 hours a day. Will definitely stay here again, although you have to be aware that there is no car parking so you have to find a space in one of the surrounding car parks, not all of them are 24 hours so make sure you check before you pay and park.
