It's alright, that's probably the best I can say. Food is very ordinary, nothing special, not too bad value for money. I suppose that you wouldn't visit The Lord High Constable if you were looking for something special. Good range of beers and lagers, again not overly expensive but it's lacking in atmosphere. Conveniently located for the docks and The Quays. Lots of better alternatives for somewhere else to eat, but if you're after just a drink then it does the job.Christmas at the docks is worth a visit.
Cheap and reasonable quality food. Speedy service even though busy and self service refillable coffee. Only down side was the toilets. Gents apparently a building site, ladies had not just no toilet roll but also no toilet roll holder!
The service was amazingEven during there busiest lunch hours our food wasn't late and service was speedy. The entire place ran with such efficiency. All other wetherspoons need to take a leaf from these guys to see how you run a pub! Amazing.
Decent, low-cost pub food and drinks. The pub is fairly clean and in a really nice setting, good views across the docks.Took about 15 mins for food to arrive, staff are okay. Food was warm enough.There are vegetarian and vegan options here which is great to see, they're tasty too! Mushroom risotto and chickpea curry are great.The pizzas here are surprisingly good as well, large one is 5 including a soft drink.
Stunning historical place to eat and drink. Very clean. Also there's a real log fire to enjoy if you can get next to it. Very popular seats. Food is very good and the drinks are cheap. Looking to taking my parents here for a Sunday lunch next time they visit.
