Staff very friendly and helpful. Drinks were good. Food was average quality.

A cook your own steak option, your steak is served on a hot plate so you can cook it to your specifications. The steak was lovely but the rest was mediocre, frozen produce microwave cooked, the sausage was fatty and cold, the chicken breast was dry and microwaved and the veg was all frozen and microwave cooked, chips and onion rings also frozen but tasty, not great really but judging by the other reveiws this must of been an off day. Staff are friendly and welcoming though. Good drinks selection.
Great beer, fantastic food the best steak on a lava stone I've ever tasted. They are the best knowledgeable and humorous staff that really care for their visitors. Playing pool was good, playing old style shovehalfpeny was so much fun
Excellent local pub with well stocked bar and brilliant selection of real ales with many sources locally Great bar food with meals to suit most tastes except vegan. Lovely staff. Black cat is nostalgic and often hosts live bands of high standard. Downstairs room available to hire. Sports bar. Great live bands at weekends.
