The only place worth visiting in Gloucester- because it's the fastest way to get out!
Would like to say a big thank you to Charles, who assisted me to my train today. Your help was muchly appreciated and I managed to catch the next train that you also advised me on. Merry Christmas to all the staff at Gloucester!
Confusing layout, platform 1 & 2 are one and the same. Platform 3 is a blink and you miss it affair. Platform 4 is reachable via the glass window bridge or lift. Toilets on 1st platform - grotty though. I used them at 11am and upon returning at 4pm the same stuff was littering the floor and the sinks had some odd black dye substance on them. Staff are nice and helpful. Trains appear to be regular.Departure boards, ticket office. All weather covered seating. The station could do with a clean up......bird mess everywhere....... Car park. 5 minutes walk from town.
I would just like to say how lovely the lady in the cafe was. Nothing was too much trouble. This was service that seems to happen less and less.Thank you.
A good railway station with frequent services to a number of places including London, Birmingham, Cardiff, Manchester, Swindon and many other places. A buffet with friendly staff serving a variety of hot and cold drinks e.g. teas, coffees. A range of sandwiches, cafes and pies, pasties etc. A toilet. All you would expect from a medium sized railway station, not as grand as some of the London stations but provides the basics.
