Expensive, which you expect in a four star hotel. The lack of service was disappointing in the light of 4.60 for a pint that is 2 in Gloucester. And you get better service at the Regal or the Doctor tooAtmosphere neutral, staff more interested in their nails and the rugby. Nice building though
Lovely spa break. The spa is brand new and the best spa I've ever been too. Dinner was delicious although not much choice on the menu. The bed was comfortable and the lounge area to have a drink in was very cosy.
Great place, really friendly and knowledgeable staff. Lovely grounds and amazing food. The spa and treatments were high quality. Well worth going!
New Years eve party. We were on table 17. Nearest to the kitchen but last to be served. Vegetarian starter run out. Mince pies were on the advertised menu but not available on the night. No alternative was offered. Very slow service. Staff seemed to be either 17 or 70. During dinner only the thumping base of the music was audible. Bright lighting like a fast food restaurant until the disco started.
Visited for our 10th Wedding Anniversary. A beautiful location with a relaxing environment. The Spa and it's treatments are a definite must. The meals were wonderful with a great selection alongside bar snacks too. Only issue was the late night wedding events which took place over the weekend. Windows aren't soundproof which put a small dampener on our experience.
