Food was lovely. Customer service was abysmal.
Delivery arrived 1 hour and 45 minutes late, I could not get hold of the restaurant beforehand as the phone was either engaged or just rang and wasn't picked up. Rejected the delivery, have been advised there could be a battle to get a refund as I paid by card beforehand. Be wary.
Used them a number of times and have always really enjoyed their food. Ordered yesterday and when it arrived the chicken was dry, tough and chewy. I dont usually have this issue so I contacted them to give this feedback, and instead of an apology they called me a liar! (Apparently it wasnt dry or tough - did they try my food? Doubt it. If so, thats a food hygiene issue all on its own...) They got nasty and said that they wouldnt give me a refund - even though I didnt ask for one, and gave myself and Just Eat nothing but attitude. Even the person from Just Eat was shocked! He refunded me the cost of the chicken anyway to apologise for how Phoenix Chef had spoken to me, but thats not the point.Theyve lost a loyal customer. A simple apology would have been enough, and to treat me with such a disgusting attitude after Ive ordered from them countless times is terrible. Ill never order from them again.
Food was awful. Prawn crackers soft like they had been left out for hours, chicken curry was gloopy with powdered lumps and dry gristly chicken. Overcooked dry batter on other food items. Threw most of it out after I had a few mouthfuls. Do NOT order from here.
Always had a good meal from here, one of the best Chineses ever. Worked our way through most of the menu options and always very tasty. Never have any problems, driver always friendly, and whenever we call up and make make alterations we never have any problems!
